I LOVE how this piece came out. Lots of time & materials. I made the focal piece from a print of a Victorian Sacred Heart painting, which I sealed under glass. I set it on an ornate brass setting that I blackened and added etched details to. I soldered brass nouveau stampings to the top and bottom of the setting. I beaded the chain with jet glass beads, brass bead caps, and brass textured connectors. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th mystery beads were created from designs I made using antique religious symbol illustrations, set under glass and on black/gold lace edged settings. I created the cross from an antique nouveau brass crucifix finding that I soldered onto the filigree cross.
This is a large piece and when worn the cross hangs just above the belly button (I'm 5'8" for reference)
