Stupid blue thingby `asunder

I hate this. It was an Illustration assignment. I don't know why I've had a hard time using my style on most of my assignments. I don't know what I was trying to do with this, but it turned out awful.

It was an acrylic painting on illustration board that I scanned into Photoshop. I fixed up a lot digitally and added more shading/highlights and the pattern on the wall.

Idea was inspired by the "Perfect Drug" music video from Nine Inch Nails.

This is quite a melancholic piece, intensified by the various hues of blue. The womans seems to be lost in her world. It is quite different from the rest of your gallery but it is good nonetheless

It's funny when you don't like something you have created and you get loads of positive feedback for it! I am never sure how to react - whether to reasess myself, why I hate it?!!

Anyway - I think it is a very atmospheric piece, great shading and use of light!
